Assist childhood cancer survivors in their rehabilitation back into Ugandan society by:

  • evaluating their disability
  • identifying possible career opportunities
  • assist in appropriate training and education
  • assist in finding employment.

CADAC was founded by Dr. Anne Merriman who recognized the needs of cancer survivors from poor communities. During her years with Hospice Africa Uganda she had seen several survivors end in destitution, often as street beggars, and identified their need of assistance.

Identifying beneficiaries and developing a system for their rehabilitation into society. This process functions as a model for the CADAC center when it develops. Three beneficiaries have been through this system and have now successfully achieved employment and self-sufficiency.

To work with PCAU and assist them where possible whilst availing of their national network of health care providers.

CADAC owns a site on Busaabala Road in Kampala and intends to build the CADAC Centre on this site. This center will offer assistance in disability and functional evaluation, career choice, vocational training and necessary physiotherapy to achieve the necessary functionality.
