Learn to Earn Program

Learn to Earn: Integrated Presidential Skilling Initiative

The Learn to Earn Program is CADAC’s flagship economic empowerment initiative designed to help childhood cancer survivors living with disabilities gain practical skills, secure livelihoods and become self-reliant. Recognizing that many survivors come from low-income backgrounds and cannot afford private training institutions, CADAC has strategically aligned the program with the Government of Uganda’s Presidential Initiative for Skilling the Girl and Boy Child a free, nationwide vocational training program.

How the Integrated Model Works?

The Learn to Earn Program operates in two phases, with the Presidential Skilling Initiative serving as the primary training arm:

Our programs aim to address housing instability by offering emergency, transitional, and permanent housing options, coupled with essential resources like financial counseling, job training, and community engagement. By empowering people with the stability of a safe home, we foster a foundation for improved well-being, personal growth, and hope for a brighter future.
