
The Learn to Earn Program is CADAC’s flagship economic empowerment initiative designed to help childhood cancer survivors living with disabilities gain practical skills, secure livelihoods and become self-reliant. Recognizing that many survivors come from low-income backgrounds and cannot afford private training institutions, CADAC has strategically aligned the program with the Government of Uganda’s Presidential Initiative for Skilling the Girl and Boy Child a free, nationwide vocational training program.
The Learn to Earn Program operates in two phases, with the Presidential Skilling Initiative serving as the primary training arm:

CADAC identifies survivors interested in vocational trades and facilitates their participation in the government’s 6-month skilling program.
This integration will enable CADAC to serve more beneficiaries at a lower cost while utilizing existing national infrastructure.
